Saturday Market in Summer Sun
/The Lummi Island Saturday Market is a community gathering of Island arts and crafts, food and music, for all ages. Come join the fun from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the field next to the Islander Store and Sauseburger Stand. The Market is in walking distance of the ferry terminal.
You will find Ken & Linda Swanson at the Windemere Realty booth, "As island residents and vendors at the market we enjoy visiting with islanders and newcomers. People from all over the world come here and we are amazed how many visitors are here for the first time. We love to talk with visitors about island life, hand out free local information and provide details about what's for sale on Lummi Island."
This year the Lummi Island Heritage Trust is selling embroidered patches for each preserve on the island. Just $5 each and helps to support the Trust.
Mary Barstow is has the corner on the market with the only permanent shop, Mary Sews Many Designs. Here is her quilted wall hangings, bed quilts and table decor. She also machine embroiders clothing, aprons, towels, bags, and ornaments. Mary also coordinates the vendors during the market season.
