Beach Store Cafe Reopens

David Vogler and Elizabeth Berg will reopen the doors of Beach Store Cafe this weekend, to the great relief of hungry islanders and visitors. The menu has something for every taste, with a focus on seafood caught fresh from surrounding sea waters.

The first three days of business will be dine-in only. March 25 will begin full service, open Wednesdays through Sundays, 4:00 pm-9:00 pm including takeout available by phone.

The restaurant will open without restrictions according to state Department of Health recommendations, meaning no proof of vaccination required and mask wearing is optional. Anyone wishing to wear a mask in the dining room is encouraged to do so.

Beach Store Cafe is a historical institution on Lummi Island and a favored gathering spot for locals and visitors, located a short walk or bike ride from the ferry landing. Beach Store began in 1901 as a mercantile and gas station. Over the years, it has evolved into the family restaurant it is today. The restaurant has a charming and homey atmosphere with inviting staff that serve fresh, local cuisine.
